I’ve just spent a very nice week in the Netherlands, cycling around, enjoying the sunshine and visiting some very nice Dutch places. One of these was the very quirky Villa Augustus. This former water tower has been lovingly converted into a hotel and restaurant surrounded by a beautiful garden. Interspersed among the plants and vegetables (which they also serve in their restaurant) were amazing displays of herbs like echinacea, marigold, roses, fennel, passionflower and vervain. A beautiful place for all the senses!
