PELARGONIUM SIDOIDES

This beautiful South African plant is my new favourite herb!  It is a prolific flowerer and is so soft and felty to the touch.  It is known as ‘umckaloabo’ which means “heavy cough” in Zulu.  It is the roots which are used for respiratory tract infections as they have anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties as well as being expectorant and helping to support the immune system.
